New digital endoscope, Spy Glass, the best biliopancreatic diagnostic and treatment
A few days ago, the Hospital Clínic Group has acquired a new digital endoscope Spy Glass. It is an advanced tool that offers optimal visualization of the biliary and pancreatic tract and that enables the carrying out of, in more than 90% of the cases, diagnostic and treatment procedures. With the installation of this Endoscope, the Endoscopy unit of Clínic Group, together with the Hospital La Fe in Valencia , are the only ones of Spain to offer this technology. Read more…

Two barnaclínic+ professionals in the top 50 most valued doctors
The medical directory Top Doctors has announced the top 50 medical candidates of specialists to win the second edition of the Top Doctors Awards 2015. These 50 physicians are the most recommended by the medical collective who form part of the platform. Among the candidates for the prize, are two barnaclínic + professionals: Dr. María José Ribal, specialist in urology, and Dr.Vicente Riambau , from the Angiology and Vascular Surgery service.
The Top Doctors award has been given by the company since 2014 in Spain and for more than 10 years in the United States, with the objective of rewarding medical excellence.
In the 2014 edition, barnaclínic + had two winners: Dr. Juan Carlos García-Valdecasas, specialist in General Surgery and Digestion , and Dr. Eduard Gratacós , Chief of the Maternal-fetal Medicine service. In addition, three other barnaclínic+ professionals formed part of the Top 50: Dr. Antonio Alcaraz, Head of the Department of Urology at the Clinic, Dr. Josep Brugada, a specialist in Arrhythmias and Sudden Death, and Dr. Josep Mª Campistol , Nephrologist and Medical Director of the Hospital Clínic.

Yesterday, Monday 23 November, the Colegio Oficial de Medicos de Barcelona (COMB) (Official College of Doctors of Barcelona) awarded the 2015 Professional Excellence Awards. At this year’s edition, held in the Teatro Romea, COMB awarded 51 physicians and 4 assistant teams. Dr. Eduardo García Cruz receives the award for “Best Ideas” from the journal “Diario Médico”
Yesterday, at the National Theatre of Catalonia the awards for “The best ideas 2015” took place. The event was organized by the Diario Médico (Medical Journal) publication which specialises in health and medicine. In this fourteenth edition of the awards, one of our doctors has been featured and presented with an award.
Dr. Eduardo Garcia Cruz, responsible for the Men’s Health Unit, barnaclínic+, received the award for The Best Idea 2015 in the category of Research and pharmacology for the SmartGlass Experience project. Together with Dr. García Cruz, Joanna Parlinska, Design Thinking Manager, and Arthur Bretonnet, Project Manager, both from Soft For You (SFY) , the project’s developer went to collect the prize.
