    visiõnclínic, the ophthalmology clinic of barnaclínic+ and Clínicas Mi, has introduced two new services focused on the control and care of visual health: the Visual Health Pack, with a complete ophthalmological examination, and the Visual Acuity Pack, an eye exam focused on the assessment of visual acuity and prescription check. These new services make it possible to undergo a professional eye examination tailored to each patient’s needs, from a basic vision assessment to a complete ophthalmological check-up with advanced diagnostic technology.

    The aim of this initiative is to facilitate access to regular eye exams, essential for the early detection of visual alterations or eye diseases that in many cases do not produce symptoms in their initial stages.

    The Arrhythmia Unit at barnaclínic+, made up of specialists from Hospital Clínic de Barcelona such as Dr. Ivo Roca and Dr. Andreu Porta, is the first private center in Spain and one of the first in Europe to incorporate ACORYS®, an advanced non-invasive cardiac mapping technology that allows the heart’s electrical activity to be analyzed with great precision.

    The ACORYS® system, developed by Corify Care, a spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, represents a new generation of cardiac electrophysiology tools based on mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence applied to clinical practice. This innovation marks an advance in the diagnosis and treatment of complex arrhythmias, as it makes it possible to obtain a global electrical map of the heart in just a few minutes and in a single heartbeat, helping identify the origin of certain heart rhythm disorders.

    Obesity and heart failure: what changes with the new European indication for tirzepatide

    March 4, World Obesity Day, is an opportunity to remember that obesity is not an aesthetic issue but a complex chronic disease with a direct impact on metabolic and cardiovascular health. In this context, the recent extension of the European indication for tirzepatide —the active ingredient of Mounjaro— in patients with obesity and heart failure opens a new therapeutic scenario.

    barnaclínic+ is launching “Salud (t) Plus”, a new podcast that invites listeners into the consultation room to share real experiences and health insights, enriched by those who live them firsthand. In each episode, patients, relatives, and professionals from barnaclínic+ sit together to talk about conditions, treatments, and lived experiences, revealing the most human side of medicine.

    The first episode, published on October 15, coincides with the anniversary of Ares Teixidó’s type 1 diabetes diagnosis. Ares —journalist, actress, and TV presenter— shares, in a warm and honest conversation, how she has learned to live with the disease and how her life has changed since she began using an insulin pump, an automated infusion system that acts like an artificial pancreas.
