Our offer
In Maternal and perinatal health at barnaclínic+ we offer a wide range of sessions and workshops for families to approach every situation both before and after birth.
First aid
In Maternal and perinatal health at barnaclínic+ we have workshops on first aid for babies. In these sessions we offer planning for quick and easy responses for any situation that might occur with your baby, from the neonatal stage onward.
We'll give you the necessary knowledge for you to safely and concisely manage your baby in situations that can induce panic and frustration if you don't know the appropriate response.
We offer three types of sessions on first aid for babies:
· Group face-to-face workshops
· Individual face-to-face workshops
· Virtual workshops
The training will be given using dummies, which will simulate a baby's characteristics. We will supply all the necessary material.

Mater training
Mater training is a physical training structure for women, it is a specialised type of physiotherapy. Physical changes, as much during pregnancy as post-birth, require individualised supervision to recover muscle tone and strength as soon as possible.
In Maternal and perinatal health at barnaclínic+ we offer this type of personalised training in both phases:
· Mater training during pregnancy
Virtual physical-training classes designed to strengthen muscles and improve posture.
- Virtual classes: 1 hour in length (4 sessions per month)
- Individual face-to-face class
· Mater training post-birt
Virtual post-birth-training classes designed to recover muscle strength, posture and pelvic floor.
- Virtual classes: 1 hour in length (4 sessions per month)
- Individual face-to-face class

Workshops on pre and postnatal stimulation
Workshops on Prenatal Stimulation
It's the process that promotes fetal learning, optimising and boosting their physical, sensorial, emotional and social development through different stimuli such as sound, movement, pressure, vibration and light, in the context of affectionate and constant communication between the parents and the baby yet to be born.
The brain is an organ with a long, complex development-process, that is susceptible to different situations that can occur throughout pregnancy. We know that the different components of the brain have development peaks at various moments throughout its vital development. However, its management will be an irreplaceable moment for the health and development of these neurological processes.
What exactly do we do in the prenatal stimulation session?
The prenatal stage is very important given that it's neurodevelopmental and it has implications for neonatal and infant development and, above all, for what happens during the prenatal stage, specifically during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters.
In the following text, we'll get into the material on prenatal stimulation and we'll talk about the techniques we are aware of, what scientific evidence is out there and how to carry it out.
· FACE-TO-FACE WORKSHOP (1hr) - individual (with the family unit) or in group

Workshops on tactile stimulation
The aim of the workshops on tactile stimulation is to teach mothers and fathers to communicate with their child. You will learn how to give a therapeutic massage and, above all, you will be able to identify signals of discomfort and stress that your children show given a tactile stimulus.
· "COMMUNICATE" FACE-TO-FACE WORKSHOP (1hr - 1.5hrs) - individual (with the family unit) or in group (maximum three families)
· "COMMUNICATE" VIRTUAL WORKSHOP (1hr)
· "IDENTIFY YOUR BABY'S SIGNALS" WEBINAR (30 minutes)

Early stimulation workshop
Early stimulation is a combination of means, techniques and activities with a scientific base that are applied in a scientific and sequential way. It is used on children from birth to six years old, with the aim of maximising development in their cognitive, physical and mental abilities.
The 0 to 2 year stage is key to the later evolutionary-development of the child, that's why, we propose making 5 visits throughout this stage. The first will be at the 2-5 month stage, the next at 6-8 months, 9-11 months, 12-18 months, and, finally, 19-24 months.
Each visit will look something like this:
1. We will analise what is taking place in development at this age range. In other words, what evolutionary milestones, activities or games are related to children at this age.
2. We will carry out some proposed early-stimulation games and interactions that are focused on four specific areas for the age range that we're working with.
3. We will mention what toys are most appropriate for each age.
