Meals

Patient diets are determined according to dietary guidelines for the patient's condition and the medical and nursing staff's recommendations. Once the patient is well enough, he/she can choose his/her own menu.

Meals are served in the patient's room where suitable furniture is provided for both the patient and his/her companion.

If the physician authorizes an uncontrolled diet, barnaclínic+ allows the patient to order food from outside the center. The patient's relative or companion can also eat in the room, provided that barnaclínic+ staff are informed. The meal service for the patient's relative or companion is not included in the hospital package. If the patient wishes to eat something between meals and this is permitted according to his/her treatment, the nurse will bring it.

Meals are served in the patient's room at the following times:

  • Breakfast: 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 1:45 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Afternoon snack: 5:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Dinner: 8:45 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
