For nine years, Merco has been preparing the Healthcare Reputation Monitor (MRS)<\/a>, an independent study that analyses the reputation of the entire Spanish healthcare system. In this ranking, the Cl\u00ednic de Barcelona is one of the most outstanding centres, managing to be the second hospital with the best reputation in Spain<\/strong><\/a> in recent years. On the 6th of June, the diplomas corresponding to 2023<\/strong> were presented in the Farreras Valent\u00ed auditorium of the Cl\u00ednic, both to the specialities and services with the best reputation in Spain<\/strong> and to the General Management for its second position as the\u00a0hospital with the best reputation<\/strong><\/a> and to the Communications Department, for its third position as the best communications team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

THE 23 OF THE CLINIC AMONG THE SERVICES WITH THE BEST REPUTATION IN SPAIN<\/h2>\n

In total, 23 medical specialties have received a diploma for being among the services with the best reputation in Spain<\/strong>. Among the clinical services that have come first are those belonging to the Clinical Institute of Digestive and Metabolic Diseases<\/a>: General and Digestive Surgery<\/a>, Hepatology<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Gastroenterology<\/a>. They are joined by the Radiodiagnosis<\/a> Service of the Diagnostic Imaging Centre<\/a>, Hematology<\/a> of the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute<\/a>, and Nephrology<\/a> and Kidney transplant<\/a> of the Clinical Institute of Nephrology and Urology<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0CORE Laboratory Operations Area<\/a>, part of the\u00a0Biomedical Diagnostic Centre<\/a>, and the\u00a0Endocrinology<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Nutrition Service, also from the Clinical Institute of Digestive and Metabolic Diseases<\/a>, have come in second place. In addition, the Dermatology<\/a> and Internal Medicine<\/a>\u00a0Services of the\u00a0Clinical Institute of Medicine and Dermatology<\/a>, as well as Rheumatology<\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0Clinical Institute of Medical and Surgical Specialties<\/a>, are included. The Urology<\/a> services, of the Clinical Institute of Nephrology and Urology, together with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Gynaecology<\/a>\u00a0services of the Clinical Institute of Obstetrics and Neonatology<\/a>, complete this position.<\/p>\n

In third place are the Cardiology<\/a> Service of the Clinical Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases<\/a>, Psychiatry and Psychology of the Clinical Institute of Neurosciences<\/a>, and Otorhinolaryngology<\/a> of the Clinical Institute of Medical and Surgical Specialties<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fourth position is occupied by the Pulmonology Service of the Clinical Respiratory Institute<\/a>,\u00a0Neurology<\/a> of the Clinical Institute of Neurosciences and Ophthalmology<\/a> of the Clinical Institute of Ophthalmology<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Finally, in fifth place are the Allergology Service of the Respiratory Clinical Institute, Pathological Anatomy<\/a> of the Biomedical Diagnostic Centre and Anesthesia<\/a>, Resuscitation and Pain treatment<\/a>, belonging to the Surgical Area. This ranking reflects the commitment of the Clinical Institute to excellence and quality in medical care.<\/p>\n

WHAT IS THE HEALTH REPUTATION MONITOR?<\/h2>\n

The MRS is the only independent study that analyses the reputation of the entire Spanish healthcare system. The research is carried out through the evaluation of the actors in the healthcare system based on three assessments: the first, carried out by medical professionals (4,005 hospital specialist doctors and 307 family and community medicine doctors); the second, the assessment of 2,304 nurses, 223 hospital managers and directors, 320 nursing managers, 82 pharmaceutical company directors, 70 hospital pharmacy managers, 532 heads of patient associations, as well as 110 journalists and health reporters; the third, the analysis of more than 3,254 specific objective indicators of 34 clinical services.<\/p>\n
