These training sessions, baptized as \u201cimmersions\u201d by Dr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnaclinic.com\/en\/professionals\/608\/ricard\"><strong>Ricard Ramos<\/strong><\/a>, head of the Cl\u00ednic\u2019s <strong>Thoracic Surgery<\/strong><strong> Service<\/strong> and barnacl\u00ednic+ surgeon, aim to share and expand the knowledge and advanced techniques practiced by the professionals of our <strong>thoracic surgery<\/strong> team.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>FROM THE USA TO LEARN ABOUT URATS SURGERY<\/h2>\n<p>The first of these dives was attended by Dr <strong>Ardeshir Hakami-Kermani<\/strong>, a renowned thoracic surgeon from the renowned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mountsinai.org\/care\/international\/spanish\">Mount Sinai in New York<\/a>. Dr Hakami-Kermani\u2019s main objective was to learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnaclinic.com\/blog\/en\/blog\/robotic-thoracic-surgery\/\"><strong>URATS technique<\/strong><\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnaclinic.com\/blog\/en\/blog\/robotic-thoracic-surgery\/\"><strong>uniportal robotic thoracic surgeries<\/strong><\/a>) and learn from the professionals on our team, references and pioneers in this type of intervention.<\/p>\n<div id=\"estoy-interesado\" class=\"destacat-site\">\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">IT MAY INTEREST YOU\u2026<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnaclinic.com\/blog\/en\/blog\/robotic-thoracic-surgery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">El Cl\u00ednic consolidates its leading position in robotic thoracic surgery<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnaclinic.com\/blog\/en\/blog\/robotic-surgery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Hospital Cl\u00ednic Group, pioneer and leader in robotic surgery<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>During his stay, which lasted two intense days, Dr Hakami-Kermani was able to witness live the performance of <strong>five <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnaclinic.com\/blog\/en\/blog\/robotic-surgery\/\"><strong>robotic surgery<\/strong><\/a><strong> interventions<\/strong>, all performed using the uniportal technique. These procedures, carried out by Dr Ramos himself, Dr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnaclinic.com\/en\/professionals\/609\/anna\"><strong>Anna Ure\u00f1a<\/strong><\/a> and the rest of the <strong>thoracic surgery<\/strong> team, were aimed at the treatment of patients with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnaclinic.com\/en\/cancer-diagnosis\/diagnosis-lung-cancer\/\"><strong>lung cancer<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>mediastinal tumour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on this first experience and the American surgeon\u2019s request, Dr Ramos stated: \u201cThe uniportal technique is common in our service for the treatment of pulmonary and mediastinal neoplasms.
