As is customary at this time, the results of the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS)<\/strong><\/a> have already been published, a ranking that Merco has been preparing for eight years. And for yet another year, the Cl\u00ednic Barcelona<\/a> has been one of the most outstanding centres, managing to position itself once again as the second-best public hospital in Spain<\/strong> and the first in Catalonia<\/strong>. It is the eighth consecutive year that the Cl\u00ednic has achieved second place in the ranking. The best public hospital in Spain has once again been the Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid and the top three are completed by the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Mara\u00f1\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

EL CL\u00cdNIC, THE BEST PUBLIC HOSPITAL IN SPAIN IN 6 SPECIALTIES<\/h2>\n

In addition to a general ranking, the MRS also presents a classification of 26 specialities. The Cl\u00ednic has topped 6 speciality rankings and has been in the top 10 of all other rankings<\/strong>. The specialities in which the Cl\u00ednic has ranked as the best centre in Spain have been: Digestive System<\/a>,\u00a0General Surgery and Digestive System<\/a>,\u00a0Hematology<\/a>,\u00a0Gynaecology and Obstetrics<\/a>,\u00a0Nephrology<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Urology<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As a novelty this year, the MRS included this year also classifications by the autonomous community. In Catalonia, Cl\u00ednic Barcelona has led the ranking in 15 specialities<\/strong>: Digestive System, General Surgery and Digestive System, Dermatology<\/a>,\u00a0Endocrinology and Nutrition<\/a>, Hematology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Pneumology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology<\/a>, Otolaryngology<\/a>,\u00a0Psychiatry<\/a>, Radiodiagnosis, Rheumatology<\/a>\u00a0and Urology.<\/p>\n

In addition to the clinical specialities, the management of the centre is also evaluated in the MRS. In these lists, the Cl\u00ednic has been in third position in the ranking of best nursing management and leadership teams and in fourth position of the best communication teams. In these three management rankings, Cl\u00ednic Barcelona has been the first hospital in Catalonia.<\/p>\n

HOW IS THE PUBLIC HOSPITAL WITH THE BEST REPUTATION IN SPAIN SELECTED?<\/h2>\n

The MRS<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is an independent study that analyses the reputation of all Spanish healthcare, and through which the actors in the healthcare system have been evaluated based on three evaluations: the first, the evaluation carried out by 2,539 medical professionals; the second, the assessment of 241 hospital managers and directors, 267 nursing managers, 2,360 nursing professionals, 60 pharmaceutical company managers, 67 hospital pharmacy managers, 551 patient association managers, as well as 140 health informants based on 16 reputation variables for clinical services; and, finally, all these assessments are complemented by the third analysis of more than 3,010 specific objective indicators of 2,912 clinical services.<\/p>\n
