barnaclínic+ opens its new outpatient clinics
One more step in the growth and consolidation of the barnaclínic+ healthcare project
On April 8, the official inauguration of the new barnaclínic+ outpatient clinics took place. This is a strategic step towards the externalisation of outpatient care outside the premises of Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. The new facilities, located at Casanova Street 153, in a prime and accessible location, will initially host consultations from fivclínic+ professionals and other barnaclínic+ specialists.
The event was attended by leading figures from both Clínic and barnaclínic+, including Dr Josep M. Campistol, General Director of Hospital Clínic de Barcelona; Dr Antoni Castells, Medical Director; Dr Raquel Sánchez-Valle, Medical Director; and the full barnaclínic+ executive committee. Also present were prominent healthcare professionals such as Dr Berta Díaz-Feijoo, Dr Joan Fontdevila, and Dr Alfons López Soto, among others.

During his speech, Dr Jaume Balust, Medical Director of barnaclínic+, highlighted that “the inauguration of these clinics is very important because we are beginning the externalisation of outpatient care. Our patients will be at street level, they will be able to see barnaclínic+ facilities, and our professionals will have the space they deserve to provide the care our patients need”.

Now, with these new outpatient clinics, we begin the first phase of a process that will culminate in the full externalisation of our outpatient and inpatient services.

Dr Josep M. Campistol emphasised that “moving out of the hospital’s premises is important for barnaclínic+. The new location will offer better accessibility for patients and greater visibility for the barnaclínic+ project.

For his part, Carles Loran, General Manager of barnaclínic+, stressed the scope of the project: “This is only the first step. Over the coming months and years, we will continue the externalisation of all outpatient consultations and also inpatient care.
