2025 Annual Report: barnaclínic+ breaks its revenue record and consolidates its strategic growth

barnaclínic+ has presented its 2025 Annual Report, a year marked by sustained activity growth, the consolidation of new strategic projects, and the strengthening of its positioning as a benchmark in high-complexity private healthcare in Barcelona. For the first time, the organization exceeded €20 million in healthcare revenue, consolidating a trend of sustained growth and reinforcing strategic areas such as robotic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, sports medicine, specialized dentistry, assisted reproduction, and international patient care.

In addition to the digital version, this year the report also includes an audiovisual version, in which the heads of the different barnaclínic+ departments present the organization’s main results, challenges, and future strategic lines.

2025: a year of consolidation and historic growth

The 2025 Annual Report highlights some of the best results in barnaclínic+ history. The organization surpassed €20 million in healthcare revenue for the first time, consolidating sustained growth and reinforcing its positioning as a benchmark in high-complexity private healthcare.

2025 was also especially significant due to the celebration of barnaclínic+’s 25th anniversary, a milestone which, according to General Director Carles Loran and Medical Director Dr. Jaume Balust, reaffirms the solidity and future ambition of the project.

The report highlights the growth of areas such as urology, transgender surgery, neurosciences, oncology, and cardiovascular diseases, as well as the consolidation of strategic projects such as the new Sports Medicine Unit, visiõnclínic, specialized dentistry, and in vitro fertilization.

The report also recalls the unique model of barnaclínic+, a public-sector organization linked to the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. All professionals working at barnaclínic+ are also part of Hospital Clínic, combining clinical care, research, innovation, and knowledge transfer.

Likewise, barnaclínic+ reinvests part of its activity into the public healthcare system, contributing to the development of strategic projects and access to advanced technology within Hospital Clínic.

More surgery, more consultations, and growth in healthcare activity

Healthcare activity continues to be one of the main drivers of barnaclínic+ growth. During 2025, the organization carried out:

• 599 surgical procedures

• 13,493 outpatient visits

• 9,425 dental visits

• 332 assisted reproduction cycles

• 692 hospitalized patients

• 338 day-hospital procedures

One of the year’s most significant milestones was also the incorporation of the Sports Medicine Unit into the barnaclínic+ healthcare portfolio, thus expanding its specialized service offering and reinforcing its positioning in high-demand and highly differentiated areas.

Robotic surgery and advanced medical technology: a strategic commitment

The 2025 Annual Report particularly highlights the consolidation of robotic surgery and minimally invasive procedures as one of barnaclínic+’s main strategic lines. Particularly noteworthy in this area is the growth of robotic cardiac surgery, as well as the incorporation and development of new highly complex and precise surgical techniques.

The report also recalls that barnaclínic+ contributes financially to the use of these advanced technologies within Hospital Clínic. In the last five years alone, barnaclínic+’s contribution to public healthcare through Hospital Clínic has exceeded €22 million.

International training, research, and commitment to nursing excellence

Another major focus of the report is barnaclínic+’s commitment to training and biomedical research. During 2025, the organization allocated €175,000 to international training programs and Sabàtics grants for Hospital Clínic professionals.

The report also highlights continued support for nursing research and innovation through specific leave programs, project funding, and innovation capsules promoted by the Hospital Clínic Nursing Directorate. In total, barnaclínic+ allocated more than €80,000 to initiatives linked to nursing excellence, including research, innovation, and specialized training.

More international patients and global consolidation of barnaclínic+

The international area also maintained its growth during 2025. International patients represented 15% of the total and mainly came from Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. International turnover exceeded €4.2 million, equivalent to 22% of barnaclínic+’s total activity.

The report also highlights the consolidation of new strategic alliances and the participation of barnaclínic+ professionals in international actions and missions linked to training and knowledge transfer.

Digital transformation and improving the patient experience

During 2025, barnaclínic+ continued strengthening its patient care and communication channels, focusing on more agile, closer, and accessible care.

In total, the organization managed:

• 47,784 contact requests

• 18,497 online appointment requests

• 1,804 WhatsApp contacts

• 861 teleconsultations

The report also highlights the consolidation of new patient communication and educational formats, such as the “Salut (d) Plus” podcast, launched during 2025.

People, organization, and future vision

The 2025 Annual Report also highlights the work carried out in leadership and people management, marked by the review and digitization of internal processes and the promotion of a more agile, efficient, and professional-oriented organizational model.

All of this consolidates a growth model based on healthcare excellence, medical innovation, economic sustainability, and value generation for both the public healthcare system and patients.
